I was debating on whether or not we'd have blood in the book a long, long, long time ago. Then Ian threw this in and I said "great!"

Didn't want to overdo it because I have plenty of violent stuff under my belt and don't need it here. But it was important to establish, early enough, that we're not going for cute and fluffy all the time.
